The Infant Program has two groups of rooms: The Tidepools rooms are for young babies up to the time they are walking well; the Jellyfish and Sea Stars rooms for older infants up to two years old. The Tidepool rooms provides a gently stimulating environment with equipment and educational play materials that encourage infants to safely explore the physical world and what their bodies can do. You will not find restrictive equipment such as walkers, bouncers or playpens in the classrooms. The Jellyfish and Sea Stars rooms offer more challenging equipment and introduce children to art materials, manipulatives, puzzles, blocks and more. All these environments feature lots of books, pictures and mobiles. Space is divided into play rooms so that children will interact in small groups, as is appropriate for their age. There are separate sleeping areas equipped with cribs, mats and sleeping cots.
