Palcare Community: Government and Industry Working Together
Palcare was established through the cooperation of many community groups, with substantial financial support coming from the San Francisco Airport Commission, United Airlines, Mills-Peninsula Hospital, San Mateo County and various private foundations.
Since the not-for-profit center is committed to making its quality services affordable and available at all hours, parents’ fees meet only about 75% of Palcare’s operating costs. The remaining funds must come from large and small corporate donors and from the community at large.
Palcare is a not-for-profit organization registered as a 501©(3) organization with the Internal Revenue Service. Charitable contributions to Palcare are tax-deductible.
